Theresa ‘Teena’ Milazzo

St. Martinville – Funeral services celebrating the life of Theresa “Teena” Milazzo, 85, were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at St. Martin De Tours Catholic Church. Rev. Rusty P. Richard officiated. Miss Milazzo wsa laid to rest at St. Michaels Cemetery in St. Martinville
A gathering of family and friends wase held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Teena was born March 27, 1931, in St. Martinville to the late Santo Milazzo and the late Lula Ligouri Milazzo. She passed away peacefully on December 17, 2016, at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette.
Teena lived a very simple life and enjoyed just being with family and friends, whether it was just talking and laughing, playing bingo, or sharing a meal. She especially enjoyed Italian food and drinking an ice cold diet coke. Her beautiful smile will always be remembered and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her niece, Lena Pritchard; nephew, Sonny Inzerella and wife Sylvia; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, nie Milazzo Inzerella and Teresa Milazzo; brothers, Joe Milazzo and Samuel Milazzo; and nephew, Tony Inzerella.
Members and friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
Masses are preferred but donations may be made in Teena’s memory to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston, Ste 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
