Jackline ‘Jackie’ Guidry Ortiz

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Jackline “Jackie” Guidry Ortiz, 59, who passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary was prayed at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Jackie was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding around, and she especially loved her dog and lizards. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Luis Ortiz; son, Jedidiah Guidry; daughters, Jenaye Guidry Kimbrough and husband Brandon, Jeanné Guidry and Ali Ortiz; brother, Darrell Guidry and wife Karyn; sisters, Barbara LeBlanc and husband Milton, Rusty Taylor and husband Joe, Audrey Romero and husband Joe, Lilly Sonnier and husband Loyton, and Betty Mouton; and grandchildren, Christopher Guidry, Landon Guidry, Silas Guidry, Brynli Guidry, Luke Guidry and Ivan Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hector and Jeanne Dejean Guidry; sisters, Shirley McBride and Patricia Folks; and one brother-in-law, Donald Mouton.
Pallbearers were Darrell Guidry, Christopher Guidry, Stoney Ross, Sr., Nicholas Mtaynos, Wayne Toothman and Brandon Kimbrough.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
