Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Miguel Antoine Edmond, 23, who passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, in Breaux Bridge.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continue on Monday at 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Edward Edmond, Sr. and Arthur Edmond. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Miguel enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends, traveling, horseback riding, playing basketball, listening to music, and spending time with his kids, who he loved so much. He loved to dress “fresh” all the time. Miquel will always be remembered for his loyalty, honesty, and his respect for others.
He is survived by his father, Thomas Peltier of Lafayette; mother, Christine Edmond and step-father, Telly Gordon of Breaux Bridge; sons, Jaycoen Noel of Breaux Bridge and Miguel Antoine Edmond Jr. of Houston, Texas; daughter, Brielle Edmond of Breaux Bridge; brothers, Denzel Edmond of Breaux Bridge, Thomas Danon Woods of Lafayette, Darius Gordon of Cecilia, Damarco Gordon of Cecilia and Marlon Sylvester of Cecilia; sisters, Dominque Thompson of Lafayette, Brittney Woods of Lafayette and Jordyn Steven of Lafayette; maternal grandparents, Mary Edmond and Jeffery Williams of Breaux Bridge; and paternal grandparents, Theresa Martin and Roland Joseph Peltier of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Gustine and Darrell Constantine; and his uncle, Howard Edmond.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Danon Woods, Edward Edmond Jr., Artégus Smith, Jeffery Edmond, Terrence Senegal, Jakoda Henry, Arthur Edmond, Edward Edmond Sr., Demond Sonnier, Prescott Dargin and Richard Williams.
