Meth sold to undercover officer on Rees Street

An Addis man was arrested Thursday, Oct. 20 after trying to sell an ounce of meth to a St. Martin Sheriff’s Office undercover agent.
Chad Fonseca, 35, of Addis was arrested after attempting to make the sale in a parking lot in the 1900 block of Rees St. in Breaux Bridge. The agent arranged the purchase following reports of drug activity in the area.
A concealed handgun
was found in Fonseca’s possession at the time of his arrest. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
Fonseca is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a concealed weapon, possession of firearms in the presence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
No Bond has been set.
