John Walter Mount Sr.

Cecilia – A service will be held at a later date for John Walter Mount Sr., who passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Collins Mississippi Veterans Home.
Mr. Mount honorably served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Lafayette Masonic Hope Lodge 145 for over 60 years. He enjoyed his many years of camp and outdoor life in Henderson and Cecilia.
He is survived by his sons, John Walter Mount Jr. and wife Julie of Henderson, James Hamilton Mount and wife Jill of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Johnny Arceneaux and wife Vera of Satsuma; brothers, William “Billy” Mount and wife Jan of Pineville and Ronnie Mount and wife Linda of Lafayette; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel B. Mount; son, Robert C. Mount; grandson, Bailey Mount; and his brother, Herbert Mount.
John “Spot” as he was known to many, will be sadly missed by friends and family.
