Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Teche Baptist Church for Gilbert Guidry, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
He is survived by his sons, Larry Guidry and Wayne Guidry; four grandchildren and eightgreat grandchildren; and his brothers, Melvin, Douglas, Zerben and Thomas Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Lena Guidry; his sisters, Verna Faucheaux, Evelyn Theriot, Patsy Landry and Rhena Guidry; his brother, Jim Guidry; and an infant brother, Vincent Guidry.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
