Scott James Courville

Catahoula – A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted for Scott James Courville, 47, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment followed at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at the Dion Hall in Catahoula. The Dion Hall reopened at 8 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
A native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Catahoula, Scott passed away at 5:52 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at his residence.
Scott was a SMSH graduate of 1987. He enjoyed helping others and spent the majority of his life as a caregiver. He cared for his grandparents and many others in the Catahoula area. His gentle caring personality was an asset to those he cared for and will not go by unforgotten. He will be missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Dennis J. Courville and wife Cypriana of Loreauville; four brothers, Danny Courville and wife Bridget of Cecilia, Lenny Courville and wife Donna of Marianna, Fla., and Lennis Courville and Kenneth Courville both of Catahoula; five nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Boudreaux Courville; maternal grandparents, Ludell and Edmaise Boudreaux and parternal grandparents, Joseph and Yola Courville.
Pallbearers were Jude Guidry, Lenny Courville, Blake Courville, Cody Courville, Coby Courville and Lennis Courville.
