Parks man facing multiple charges
The St. Martin Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Parks man after deputies recovered illegal drugs along with weapons and currency in his home last Friday, Sept. 2.
The arrest of Michael Zeno, 31, came after deputies executed a search warrant at the home in the 1000 block of Promiseland Drive in Parks following an investigation into reports of suspected illegal drug activity. Agents obtained the search warrant following an undercover operation whereby a narcotics agent bought crack cocaine from Zeno.
Agents recovered the illegal drug Ecstasy, marijuana, Oxycodone, Alprazolam and Suboxone, and other illegal drugs, along with a handgun, rifle and cash.
Zeno faces multiple charges including possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (MDMA), possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana), possession of Schedule II CDS (Oxycodone), possession of Schedule III CDS (Suboxone), possession of Schedule IV CDS (Alprazolam), illegal use of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, violation of Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law Drug Free Zone, illegal carrying of weapons in the presence of a CDS, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Following his arrest, he was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. At the time of this release, no bond had been set.
