St. Martinville – Funeral Services are pending for Robert L. Hurst Sr., 67, who passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, in Lafayette.
He is survived by his spouse of 32 years, Joan E. Francis Hurst; sons, Robert Hurst Jr. of Jeanerette, Jeremiah Hurst of Tennessee and Zachariah Hurst of Lafayette; daughters, Robin Batiste of Broussard, Starr Hurst of Breaux Bridge, and Mrs. Dynell (Ysushia) Batiste and Mrs. Kavin (Chantel) Lindon of St. Martinville; brothers, Ephirum Sereal Jr. of Little Rock, Ark., Dan Sereal of Houston, Texas, Richard Hurst and Elwin Hurst of Jeanerette, Lester Gibson of Pensacola, Fla., and Ricky John-Louis of Lafayette; sisters, Mrs. Walter (Gail) John-Lewis of New Iberia, Regina Wilson and Jo Ann Hurst-Merritte of Lafayette, and Christina John-Louis, Carrie John-Louis and Patricia Westley, all of Jeanerette; and 14 grandchildren
He was preceded in death by brothers, Alfred John-Louis and Timothy Merritte; and his sister, Norma Ledet.
