School Monday
St. Martin Parish Public Schools will resume on Monday, August 22, 2016. (All of the St. Martin Parish public schools will be open.) Some roadways remain flooded; however, consideration to extenuating circumstances will be given on an individual basis. Flexibility to the school uniform policy will be afforded to students.
Upon meeting with Parish and city officials this afternoon, it was noted that some roads remain flooded in the Cypress Island community and other areas; therefore, access to bus transportation will be available at the *normal pick up times at the following locations:
Cypress Island Community: Cypress Garden Apartments
Terrace and Capritto areas: corner of Terrace and Freedom Lane
Ledoux area: corner of James and Saint Anne Streets
Bayou Mercier area: Red’s Bar
Pete Guidry Road and Sidney Guidry Road: pick up will be at the Old Catahoula Fire Station
*Normal pick up time
*All students not impacted by the flood waters will be picked up at the usual time and location.
