Earline Hebert
Arnaudville – Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at an 110 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Earline Hebert, 95, the former Earline Castille, who passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Interment was in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, officiated at the services.
Musical selections were provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs were Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, Isaiah 49, Be Not Afraid, Were You There, Lord Let Me Walk and Daddy’s Hands.
Mrs. Hebert was a native and lifelong resident of Arnaudville. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Ervin Hebert of Arnaudville and Earl Hebert and his wife Madeline of Duson; two daughters, Bernadine Nezat of Port Barre and Norma Jean Roberthon Robichaux and her husband Stephen of Breaux Bridge; one son-in-law, Warren Whaley; two sisters-in-law, Lillia Barras and Pearl Castille, both of Arnaudville; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilfred Hebert; her parents, Willie Castille Sr. and the former Manola Quebedeaux; one daughter, Veronica H. Whaley; one daughter-in-law, Norma Robin Hebert; two sons-in-law, Donald Nezat and Ronald Roberthon; three brothers, Willie Castille Jr., James Castille and John Calvin Castille; and one stepsister, Lena Rowan and her husband Alveston.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Visiting hours were observed from 12 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and continued from 8 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers were Mark Hebert, Richard Hebert, Robert LeBlanc, Stephen Robichaux, Kevin Roberthon and Neal Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be Norris Hebert, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Senior Village Nursing Home and Hospice Compassus and a very special thank you to Dr. Stacey Mayeaux.
