Sherman J. Provost Sr.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Sherman Joseph Provost Sr., 77, who passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Visiting hours will be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Emma L. Babineaux Provost; sons, Joseph S. Provost Jr. and Perry Provost; daughters, Mary E. Provost, Mrs. Joseph (Mary P.) Richard Sr., and Mrs. Gregory (Fontella) James; brother, Burley Provost; sisters, Mary A. Pierre and Ethel Provost; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, George Provost; and two grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
