Betty C. Louviere
Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel for Betty C. Louviere, 66, who passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at her residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday and continued on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Deacon Ken Soignier officiated at the Funeral Service. Scriptures were read by Brandy Berard, Kaila Broussard and Ali Louviere.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge.
She enjoyed baking, cake decorating, attending garage sales, arts and crafts and family gatherings. Betty loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved unconditionally. She will be remembered for providing cakes, candy, and cooking for holiday occasions which would leave an everlasting memory.
She is survived by her former husband/companion, Kerney Louviere; her son, Jerritt John Louviere and wife Jamie of Loreauville; her daughters, Laila L. Broussard of New Iberia and Brook Burch and husband Keith “P-nut” of Loreauville; her brother, Robert “Bobby” Castille and wife Carol of Richardson, Texas; her sisters, Edith C. Walden and companion Sam of Breaux Bridge, and Jackie C. Berard and husband Jim of Cecilia; her grandchildren, Dustin Broussard, Kaila Broussard, Ali Louviere, Jerritt “JJ” Louviere Jr., Bryant LeBlanc, and Hunter Burch; great-grandchildren, Olivia LeBlanc and Rhett Fuselier; nieces, Brandy and Cherie Berard; and nephews, Shenny and Chad Berard, and Chris and Robert Castille.
She was preceded in death by father, Sidney Lynn Castille and her mother, Mildred “Shun” Castille.
Pallbearers were Dustin Broussard, Jerritt “JJ” Louviere, John Terrell, Robert Castille, Hunter Burch and Audie Trahan.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Castille, Shenny Berard, Chad Berard and Kerney Louviere.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Outreach Center for Women & Children, P.O. Box 2747, Lafayette, LA 70502, to benefit the needs of those suffering through addiction and abuse.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
