Jeanne Elizabeth Purdy

St. Martinville – A celebration of life will be held at a later date for Jeanne Elizabeth Purdy, 74, who passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. Purdy was a LSU Master Gardener and had the opportunity to publish her book called Alex In Academe. She was involved in various organizations including Girl Scouts of America, the University of Minnesota at Morris Library Board, and Woman’s Study Program. She will sadly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Dwight Purdy; son, Stephen Purdy of Rugby, N.D.; daughters, Meg Purdy of St. Martinville and Anna Purdy of Lafayette; brothers, Pat Martin and wife Vicky of St. Martinville, and Barry Martin and wife Margaret of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Leslie Formeller and husband Michael of St. Martinville and Joan Martin and husband Charles of St. Martinville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley Barra Martin and Murphy Martin; and sister, Carol Martin.
