Leona ‘LoLo’ D. Courville
Henderson – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church ior Leona “LoLo” D. Courville, 85, who passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at her residence.
Visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Henderson from 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2016, until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Reverend Garrett McIntyre, Reverend Robert Courville and Reverend Keith Landry officiated at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
LoLo worked for Our Lady of Mercy Church for 25 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Mavis Melancon and Donna Patin; grandson, Jeremy Melancon; granddaughter, A’Nyrie Castille; and sister, Marella Stoutes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Laurence Courville; parents, Eno and Lucy Frederick Devillier; brother, Floyd “Man” Devillier; sister, Priscilla “Pish” Savoy; and nephews, Gilbert Savoy and Danny Stoutes.
Pallbearers were Kain Savoy, Roy LeBlanc, Mikey Thibodeaux, Pearly Dupuis, James Allemond and Richard Devillier.
Honorary pallbearer was Bert Savoy.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jeanne Theriot and Amedisys Home Health/Hospice for their love and care.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Hendersonas was in charge of arrangements.
