Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Danny Lee Charles, 57, who passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years, Dorothy Batiste Charles; daughters, Samantha Charles of Sandusky, Ohio, and Stephanie Charles of Cecilia; son, Joshua Batiste and companion Samantha Brethuar of Saginaw, Mich.; his father, Jules Charles of Arnaudville; brothers, Donald Charles and wife Shirley of Breaux Bridge, Dennis Charles of Lafayette and Steven Charles of Arnaudville; and sisters, Theresa Singleton and husband Lambert of Henderson, and Sharon Charles of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jai’veon McElroy and Joshua Zion Batiste.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elodie Charles; brother, Shelton Charles; and his sisters, Emma Charles and Mary Jane Charles.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia, 2238 Bushville Hwy., is in charge of arrangements.
