Lauralyn Picard

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, Aug. 15, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Lauralyn Picard, 12, who passed away on Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
Interment followed at Methodist Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Lauralyn was a 7th grader at Youngsville Middle School.
She is survived by her mother, Rochelle L. Barras of Youngsville; her father, Shane J. Picard; sister, Alexis A. Smith of St. Martinville; brothers, Dakota J. Picard and Bentley I. Picard, both of Youngsville; her maternal grandparents, Patricia Bouton and Kurt Douglas Barras, both of New Iberia; paternal grandparents, Vickey Jernigan of Charenton, Joe Picard of St. Martinville, and Leo Laird of Oakdale; and her paternal great-grandfather, Clovis Talley.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
