Virgie Mae Broussard

Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 12 noon on Monday, June 15, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Virgie Mae Broussard, 86, who passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
Visiting hours were observed from 7 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Monday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary was prayed at 9 a.m. on Monday.
Rev. Michael Delcambre officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.
Mrs. Broussard was a faithful parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and St. Anne’s. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, especially family gatherings - she was the life-of-the-party. She enjoyed talking on the phone and traveling; her last trip was to the Holy Land.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Davis Beauchamp of Cecilia; niece, Patricia Zenon of Cecilia; her nephew, Willie Johnson Jr. of Cecilia; great-nieces and nephews, Victorine Babineaux, Centrell Babineaux, Ursula Zenon Rogers Babineaux Jr., Toicy Babineaux Sr., Mario Johnson, Deneka Johnson, Joel Johnson, Soncera Davis, Cassandra Davis, Stephan Davis, Contessa Davis Robertson, Checqueline Davis, Elbertina Davis Wells, Telesphore Davis; her godchildren, Randy Lewis, Rannel Babineaux, Leland Landry and Roland Gordon; and numerous great-great-nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Telesphore and Victorine Alexander Davis; her husband, Hebert Broussard; her sister, Marie Ida Davis; and brothers, George Isaac Davis and Toicy Davis.
Pallbearers were Rannel Babineaux, Jacolby Babineaux, Steffon Constantine, Joel Johnson, Mario Johnson and Randall Menard Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Rogers Babineaux Jr., Rogers Babineaux Sr., Toicy Babineaux Jr., Toicy Babineaux Sr., Randall Menard Sr., Willie Johnson Jr., Scotty Tolliver, Antonio Robertson, Farrell Shelvin, Ridge Babineaux, Stephan Davis and Clesmay Fontenette.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
