A new game in town!

Mike Fuselier

About 75 men from two Acadiana Disc Golf Clubs invaded Magnolia Park Sunday morning to play a round of disc golf on the soon to be constructed course.
Eighteen holes were set up with portable baskets using the first course design. The 30-plus teams played to get a feel for the course, the park, course layout, and to give their input.
The result? Awesome! The feedback was great. They loved the park, the trees, the shade, the Bayou Teche. They said they feel this could be one of the nicest courses in the state.
The trial allowed planners to better plan for course design and basket placement.
We are in the final stages of course design. We are still getting hole and course sponsors from businesses and organizations. Anyone interested in sponsoring, call me at 337-394-5720.
We expect to have the course up and running this summer.
