Rose Delahoussaye Gautreaux

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Rose Delahoussaye Gautreaux, 89, who passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015, at Opelousas General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be read by Marsha Gaspard, Tanisha Everett, and Shawn Gautreaux.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Rose enjoyed cooking, cleaning, spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha A. Gautreaux; her daughter-in-law, Bernice Gautreaux; five grandchildren, Marsha Gaspard, Natalie Guidry, Tanisha Everett, Shawn Gautreaux and Colby Huval; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Gautreaux Sr.; her parents, Clemere and Martha Champagne Delahoussaye; two sons, Leonard Gautreaux Jr. and Gregory J. Gautreaux; and two brothers, Lionel and Daniel Delahoussaye.
Pallbearers will be Natalie Guidry, Shawn Gautreaux, Tony Delahoussaye, Jared Guidry, Anthony Billiot and Nicholas Everett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tanisha Everett and Ronnie Theriot.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia, 2238 Bushville Hwy., (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
