Paul Ledet

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Saint Martinville, for Paul Ledet, 68, who passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at New Iberia Manor North.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary was prayed at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Stanley Jawa officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reader was Elva Moore.
Interment followed at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Saint Martinville.
Paul enjoyed drinking, playing music and dancing. He cherished moments spent with family and friends and was always the life of the party.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gedward Ledet of St. Martinville; his son, Jabari LeBlance of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Cynthia Caladay and her husband Frank of Houston, Texas, Paula Potier of Lafayette, Vantrice Potier and her husband Lionel of Breaux Bridge, Tonia Ledet of St. Martinville, and Eleanor and her husband Nolton Hamilton Jr. of Cecilia; his brother, Harry Ledet and his wife Lena of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Georgiana Benjamin Ledet; and his brothers, Gabriel Ledet and Henry Francis.
Pallbearers were Howard Ledet, Thaddius Potier, Avery Gedward, Jabari LeBlance, Antoine Ledet, Aaron Noel and Terry Martin.
Honorary pallbearers were Herman Ledet, Corny Ledet, Franklin Dotson, Ray Wiltz, Wilbert Ledet and Phillip Ledet.
Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville was in charge of arrangements.
