Clovis Joseph ‘C. J.’ Guidry

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Clovis Joseph “C J” Guidry, 76, who passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Breaux Bridge.
Entombment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. David Broussard was the Celebrant.
Visiting hours were observed from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday. Visitation continued at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Mr. Guidry honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He enjoyed watching wrestling and western movies. He also enjoyed working outdoors, especially on the tractor.
Clovis loved helping family members and spoiling his grandkids.
Survivors include his son, Craig Guidry and his wife Charmaine; his daughter, Pam Frugé and her husband Joseph “Tony”; his brother, Dickie Guidry and his wife Wanda; his sisters, Alice Hebert, Lucille Kidder and Helen Mae Stelly and her husband Jesse; and his grandchildren, Zev J. Frugé and Zane A. Frugé.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Editha Periou Guidry; his wife, Gloria Degeyter Guidry; his granddaughter, Cami Lynn Guidry; his brothers, Rodney J. Guidry and Rogers J. Guidry; and his sister, Verna Mae Kidder.
Pallbearers were Craig Guidry, Tony Frugé, Zev Frugé, Zane Frugé, Lloyd Degeyter and Dickie Guidry.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
