ONE SHOT DURING ST. MARTINVILLE HOME INVASION

Shortly before midnight on Monday, Aug. 18, deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding a home invasion on Russo Milazzo Road outside St. Martinville.
According to witnesses, three black male subjects kicked the door in and subsequently shot a male occupant inside the home.
The 34-year-old male victim was airlifted to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
The other residents inside the home were not injured.
One of the suspects was wearing a white bandana over his face, detectives said.
The investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
