Future health workers visit St. Martin Hospital

St. Martin Hospital hosted students participating in the annual summer “job shadow” program sponsored by Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SWLAHEC).
The program, May 27 to June 6, included seven students from St. Martinville Senior High, Cecilia High and Breaux Bridge High interested in health care careers. They were selected through an application process based on their career interests, grade point average and community service involvement.
The students were able to gain in-the-field knowledge in several areas of health care by spending each day in a different department of the hospital.
