Say it ain't so.
Papa Noël's visit to St. Martinville via pirogue this Saturday has been canceled. according to the city tourism office.
The next Bayou Teche Market will be held the last Saturday in January.
Papa was supposed to paddle up and do his thing at the market, 203 New Market St.
Not to worry, though, a wee-hours appearance at each home on Dec. 25 is still on his calendar.
