Lt. Toby Wetzel is Arnaudville’s new police chief

The Oct. 15 meeting of the Arnaudville Board of Aldermen was relatively calm after the past couple of years. What has changed is that Police Chief Richard Mizzi turned in his resignation at the end of October, and Lt. Toby Wetzel was appointed interim police chief.

'Henderson exit' might actually be in Henderson soon

The “Henderson”exit becoming part of Henderson is one step closer to reality, according to Mayor Sherbin Collette. Glenn Soileau, plaintiff’s attorney in the suit to block the annexation, announced a deal had been reached some weeks ago. Collette says the deal is awaiting Soileau’s final approval and signatures.
