Hearing to discuss new traffic signals

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will conduct an open-house style public meeting today (Wednesday) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Parish Government Office, 301 West Port Street.
DOTD representatives will provide information and answer questions on a project to implement new traffic signal displays around the parish.
Plans are to replace traditional left-turn signals at select intersections with new traffic signals designed to provide safer, efficient left turns for motorists.
Intersections where signals are to be replaced include:

Breaux Bridge:
•La. 31/Berard St. at La. 94/Mills Ave.
•La. 94/Mills Ave. at La. 328/Rees St.
•La. 328/Rees St. at Latiolais Rd.
•La. 328/Rees St. at I-10 eastbound.
•La. 328/Rees St. at I-10 westbound.

St. Martinville:
•La. 31/Main St. at Port St.

Cade:
•La. 92/Smede Hwy at La. 182/Old Spanish Trail Hwy.

Others:
•La. 347/Grand Point Hwy at La. 352/Henderson Hwy.
•La. 328/Anse Broussard Hwy at La. 336.
