BB man arrested for drugs, firearms

Breaux Bridge – Following up on reports of drug activity, the search of a residence by St. Martin Sheriff’s Office personnel resulted in the arrest of Brandon Scrantz, 34, of Breaux Bridge.
During the search conducted on Dec. 8, deputies found drugs, currency and weapons at the residence in the 1700 block of Grand Anse Hwy.
Scrantz is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Tramadol, anabolic steroids and drug paraphernalia as well as illegal possession of firearms.
He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center. No bond has been set at this time.
