71st Rotary Ball is this Saturday

St. Martinville – In recognition of this year’s 200th anniversary of the incorporation of St. Martinville, the theme of this year’s Rotary Mardi Gras Ball is Renaissance de la Ville. The 71st gala is set for Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Cade Community Center.
Thomas K. Bulliard II will reign as King Rotary LXXI along with Queen Rotary Anne LXXI, his daughter, Angèle Aimée Bulliard.
Bulliard is the son of Dickie and Betty Bulliard and is married to Gisele Vincent Bulliard.
He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette with a degree in Industrial Technology. He has been involved in the construction industry since the mid-Seventies and established Bulliard Construction Co. in 1984. The firm serves the Acadiana area with a focus on commercial, industrial and civic projects.
Bulliard is a member of the Louisiana Associated General Contractors of America and chairs the Lafayette chapter of AGC while serving on the board of the Louisiana AGC.
He served as captain of the Rotary Ball in 1992 and 2016.
He and his wife have two children, Anthony and Angèle.

Miss Bulliard, 25, has a Business Administration Minors degree from UL-Lafayette and is currently enrolled in Health Service Administration and Child and Family Studies with plans to pursue a Masters degree.
She also works part-time for her father’s company and designed her own Louisiana Livin’ logo to represent the local lifestyle.
Angèle has been a frequent participant in past Rotary Balls, appearing as a page to the queen, a junior maid, debutante and Princess Royal.
This year’s Mardi Gras pageant will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday. Following the presentation of the royal court, Sideshow will provide music for dancing. General admission tickets may be purchased at the State Farm Insurance office until 5 p.m. Friday. No tickets will be sold on the night of the ball.
A dress rehearsal, also open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Cade Community Center. Admission will be $7 for adults and $3 for children.
