St. Martinville bypass meeting Jan. 21

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will conduct a public meeting Thursday, Jan. 21, to discuss a new highway that would serve as an La. 31 bypass around St. Martinville.
The meeting will be held 5-7 p.m. in the recreation center in the city’s Magnolia Park.
DOTD’s project team will be on hand to talk about the general location and features of the bypass in addition to a continuously playing recorded presentation.
Comments from the public will be recorded. All interested citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
Written statements and other exhibits in lieu of, or in addition to, verbal statements made at the public meeting must be submitted to the address below and postmarked by Monday, Feb. 1.
