Poboy fundrasier to help Marcie find a liver

A poboy sale will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Henry Guidry Memorial Park in Henderson for cancer patient Marcie Dauphine.
Dauphine, 31, was diagnosed with hepatocellular, (HCC) in July 2012 the most common type of liver cancer. It was detected after she felt a hard bulge, which turned out to be a tumor, right below her rib cage on her right side.
A PET test confirmed that the cancer was in fact limited to her liver. Friends and family started a Facebook page “Help Marcie Find A Liver” to find a living donor.
Dauphine, a patient at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas recently underwent hepatic artery infusion therapy, Chemoembolization, and three days of transplant testing.
On Dec. 4 she received a call saying she has been approved as a transplant recipient and is now waiting for a living donor.
Three St. Martin Parish residents have come forward to help as possible donors.
Dauphine is a graduate of Cecilia High, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Arizona State University. She is the daughter of Glen and Carol Dauphine.
Place your poboy order by calling 962-3867 or 577-4978. To help Marcie e-mail fightingmarciesmonster@gmail.com.
