Deadline to enter St. Martinville Clean City poster contest March 21

Entries in the 2014 Cleanest City Poster Contest, hosted by the City of St. Martinville and the St. Martinville Garden Club, must be submitted to City Hall by Friday, March 21, no later than 4 p.m.

Posters must focus on the winning slogan: “Let’s Fight to Keep our Community Clean.”

Winners, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, will be announced Saturday, March 22.

The Cleanest City committee also asks that schools and local organizations be involved in the beautification of the city and participate in the annual Trash Bash Day, set for Saturday, March 22, 9 a.m. until noon.

Volunteers will meet at the Maison Duchamp on S. Main Street. Tasks include planting, painting and doing last minute touch-ups before the judging.

The City of St. Martinville will be judged by the Louisiana Garden Club Federation the week of March 24.
