Shooting suspect gives himself up
A suspect wanted in connection with a Jan. 17 attempted second degree murder has turned himself in, according to the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office.
Damien Ross Fontenette. 29, of Breaux Bridge, was wanted in connection with a shooting on George Dupuis Road in Breaux Bridge.
Fontenette turned himself in to authorities Wednesday, Feb. 4.
Shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, deputies responded to a report of a argument between two men which resulted Abrum Fontenette, 26, sustaining a gunshot wound and the suspect fleeing the scene.
Fontenette was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on suspicion of attempted second degree murder. Bond was set at $250,000.
