Breaux Bridge — St. Bernard Catholic Church was the setting for the marriage of Kristin Elizabeth Bourque to Cody Joseph Tauzin on Friday, April 11, 2008.
Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Cheryl Bourque of Arnaudville, and the groom’s parents are Wade and Neldine Tauzin Jr. of Cecilia. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a Casa Blanca gown in ivory with champagne accents. The gown featured a strapless bodice of contrasting organza and delicate beadwork. The A-line skirt featured back box pleats and a semi-cathedral train with champagne accents and beadwork complimenting the bodice. Her fingertip veil was adorned with an ivory and beaded headpiece and she carried a bouquet of cream and peach porcelana roses.
Cherie Boudreaux, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and maid of honor was Jenny Berard.
Bridesmaids were Shelly LeBlanc and Tessa Taylor, cousins of the bride; Aimee Delahoussaye and Danielle Desormeaux. Junior bridesmaid was Hayli Allemond, cousin of the bride.
Haeven Degataire was the best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Tauzin and Chris Tauzin, brothers of the groom; Jacque Dupuis, Mikey Trahan and Laik Patin. Junior groomsman was Hunter Tauzin, nephew of the groom. Catelyn Bourque, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, and ring bearer was Bryce Tauzin, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Todd Boudreaux, brother-in-law of the bride; Todd Clause, godfather of the bride; and Myles Wyble.
A reception followed at Marielle’s in Breaux Bridge
Following a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple will reside in Breaux Bridge.
