Breaux Bridge native Michael Richard is among three men scheduled to be ordained into the priesthood on Saturday.
Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel will ordain the three men during an ordination Mass at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.

Out of nine local taxing authorities, the St. Martin Parish Law Enforcement District – essentially the Sheriff’s Office – is the only one that will allow property tax revenues to rise as a result of an increase in taxable values.

School Board to honor retirees, mull bond work, deseg

Members of the St. Martin School Board will devote part of their meeting to the recognition of employees who are retiring from the system.
The 33 employees include supervisors, principals, teachers and paraprofessionals who have devoted a combined total of 821 years to the parish public school system.
