Edwards resigns from Council on Aging

Breaux Bridge – Lynette Edwards, executive director of the St. Martin Council on Aging unexpectedly resigned on Monday, June 16. An e-mail announcing her resignation was sent to the COA board of directors, and employees.
The following statement was released by the board of directors:
“The St. Martin Council on Aging Personnel Committee met on Monday, June 16, and accepted the resignation without notice of Lynette Edwards, the executive director. Ms. Edwards was hired on February 3, 2014, and was on the job a little over four months. The Board of Directors will confirm Ms. Edward’s resignation and discuss an interim plan of action at the next regular meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, at 12 noon at the Sydnie Mae Durand Activity Center.”
