Butte La Rose et Les Entourage

Bonjour!
In July my son Dale and granddaughter Chelsie visited for a few days. He brought different kinds of hot peppers from his garden. I made chow-chow but took out the seeds because the seed makes it hotter. It tasted so good. Last week at Winn Dixie the man working the produce handed me plastic bags while I selected eight different types of peppers. Cashier did not mind sorting the prices for a few ounces of this one and that one and I thought that was so helpful. So I made another batch of the delicious stuff. I chop the peppers in the food chopper putting the peppers in a pint jar and added an equal part of boiling vinegar. And now you know to make your own.
For the commodity day last week I left a few minutes early, went by Burger King for the special breakfast biscuit coupon. When I left from Parc Hardy at 11 I went again for the two-for-one special Whopper coupon. And on my way home I went by there for the two for the price of one chicken sandwich for my meal next day. I tell seniors to go for less cooking and a treat. I cut out the coupons and have those in the car for when I go to town.
Next time you go by the courthouse, go by the Clerk of Court area and say hey to everyone there, but especially to Gertie Brossard. She was saying her in-laws Beatrice and Dorville Broussard who are both 80 years plus, got a grant to have a ramp installed but they also need a little renovation done in their bathroom because it is hard and dangerous for them to maneuver in. Our kids naturally worry about our wellbeing. Ever hear the saying an ounce of safety is worth a pound of cure?
Here is a message on Facebook I got from Teena Boudreaux Verret. This could be helpful this winter when having sinus and chest congestion. Put one tablespoon of Vicks and one of water in a wax tart warmer. (Have your kids invest in one of those warmers because I don’t know what that is either.) It says this can be used day or night and help you breathe a bit better. Facebook readers have information and helpful to pass on. And don’t forget your Campbells canned chicken noodle soup. For some reason that one is better for me then fresh homemade.
Christmas is just around the corner! I met Santa Claus, natural beard and all. Tall Santa he is! And I bet the kids in your school and neighborhood would like to see and talk with him. Well I just happen to have his number – 298-0632 – for an appointment. Carroll Conques say’s he is Santa Claus and Santa say’s he is Carroll.
Brenda Bergeron called to say she doubled the receipt of the salmon patties I wrote a while back. Said her dad Joseph Kidder and their company loved it. Only way she’d ever known to cook it was in tomato gravy. And now she knows and you do too.
While I’m on the subject of messaging, another couple worth passing along come from Eulamae Champagne. She has convinced me into putting a pair of shoes crossing each other under the bed in which I sleep to prevent leg cramps. So far so good. Plus she said she was told many years ago by an old man to prevent heartburn is to chew on a match stick, opposite from the burnt end. What can you lose? She swears by this.
Amètie à tout.
