Lafayette Man Arrested in Connection With August Casino Robberies

On November 15, 2013, Billy Davis, 31, of Lafayette was arrested in Springhill, Louisiana by the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force. Davis was wanted by investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office after he was identified as the person who attempted to rob a clerk on August 1, 2013, at Cash Magic Casino on the Breaux Bridge Hwy. Thirty minutes after the first robbery, the suspect committed a second robbery at the Breaux Bridge Casino also located on the Breaux Bridge Hwy.

Mr. Davis will be extradited back to St. Martin Parish where he will be booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on Attempted Simple Robbery and Simple Robbery charges.
