AMBER ALERT CANCELED FOR LINCOLN PARISH CHILD

Investigators with the Ruston Police Department have confirmed that 8 year old Dakota Knox has been located safe in Ouachita Parish. Authorities are still searching for the child’s suspected abductor, 23 year old Sommer Ann Hattaway.

Ruston, LA - The Louisiana State Police has issued an AMBER Alert on behalf of the Ruston Police Department for an 8 year old white male child, Dakota Knox, who is believed to have been abducted earlier this morning.

Dakota Knox was last seen around 7:25 am on October 25, 2015, at the Lincoln Motel (904 E. Georgia Avenue, Ruston, Louisiana) asleep in the rear of a vehicle. The vehicle, a black 2000 Mercury Mountaineer bearing Louisiana license plate ZAW146 is suspected to have been stolen by Sommer Ann Hattaway.

Dakota Knox is believed to be in imminent danger and is described as a white male child with sandy hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 4’ tall and weighs 70 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt, yellow shorts, and a yellow jacket.

Sommer Ann Hattaway is a 23 year old white female with brown hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 5’2” and weighs 115 pounds.
