Host hotel for Riviere Rouge and 410 de Louisiane

SpringHill Suites at Louisiana Downs, 8010 E. Texas St., in Bossier City, is the host hotel for participants in Tour de la Rivière Rouge and 410 de Louisiane. The start is at the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway boat launch on the Bossier side, about six miles from the hotel and a straight shot west on I-20.
Rate for Rivière and 410 participants is $84 plus tax if you register by Sept. 14. (Ask for Tour de la Rivière Rouge rate.) The hotel has agreed to serve breakfast an hour early (5 a.m.) on Saturday, Sept. 26, and include plenty of bottled water, Granola bars, apples and bananas. There’s ample parking for all types of vehicles including those with long trailers. We found the rooms to be very clean, two queens or one king with couch, microwave and refrigerator, and complimentary high speed internet. The staff is accommodating, parking great, security good, lots of restaurants close by, easy to find off I-20. Exit 26 on I-20 , north on I-220 to Louisiana Downs. To get to the Teague boat launch, take I-20 west, exit at casinos, go south about 2 miles
Wherever you stay, it’s best to book rooms ASAP since Shreveport is hosting a 5K run Sept. 26 expected to draw some 5,000 runners.
