Lady Tigers open playoffs

The District 5-4A runner up Lady Tigers of Breaux Bridge will begin their state playoff run at home this Thursday, hosting No. 21-seed Grant Parish.

The Lady Tigers (21-7, 10-2) enter the playoffs at No. 12. District champion St. Thomas More is the No. 5 seed and will meet No. 18 Beau Chene in the first round while No. 20 Northside travels to No. 13 Belaire.

Teurlings Catholic fills the No. 32 spot and will meet No. 1 Salmen in round one.

If Breaux Bridge defeats Grant, the Lady Tigers will have to go up against district rival STM, which handed The Bridge its only two league losses in regular season play.
