Suzanne ‘Sue’ Mason Olivier

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Suzanne “Sue” Mason Olivier, 81, who passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Opelousas General Health System.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Lloyd F. Benoit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Sue was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia and a member of the Ladies Altar Society. An avid gardener, Sue loved tending to her plants and working in her flower garden. She loved traveling and volunteering her time with many local organizations. Sue was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished moments spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Mark Olivier and his wife Ginger of Cecilia; her grandson, Stephen Adam Olivier and his wife Kacie of Cecilia; her granddaughter, Alexandra Leigh Olivier of San Diego, Cal.; and a step great-grandchild, Joseph Kain Hardy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence Olivier; and her parents, Louis and Alozia Courville Mason.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
