Paul ‘P.J.’ Toby Jr.

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Paul “P.J.” Toby Jr., 72, who passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.
Visiting hours were observed from 11 am. .until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Fr. Keenan Brown officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Mr. Toby was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a carpenter for many years. P.J. was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed being outdoors, going camping, and discussing politics. P.J. always enjoyed meeting people and loved helping others when in need. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Zeringue Toby; his son, Joshua Paul Toby and fiancée Rhiannon; his daughter, Melanie Toby and fiancé Vinnie; grandchildren, McCoy Toby, Siris Toby, Atticus Toby, Vega Cosimini and Vera Toby; his brother, A.J. Toby; and his sister, Dolores Toby.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Laura Lagrange Toby Sr.
Pallbearers were Joshua Paul Toby, Davey Zeringue, Bobby Zeringue, Alvin Zeringue, Bobby Knott and Freddie Zeringue.
Honorary pallbearers were A.J. Toby, Robert Stelly, Kenneth Chaisson, Dwaine Zeringue, Vinnie Cosimini and Clyde Zeringue.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville was in charge of arrangements.
