Patricia Ann Theriot

Alexandria – Patricia Ann Theriot, 77, passed away suddenly on September 7, 2017, at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.
She was born July 15, 1940, to Wilfred and Bernice Theriot of St. Martinville. She was a 1958 graduate of Mercy High School in St. Martinville and served as secretary of Parks Primary School until her retirement in 2006. Upon retirement, she moved to Deville, Louisiana to be near her grandchildren. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Chapter at Sts. Francis and Anne Catholic Church and served as their secretary for many years.
Ms. Theriot is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Bernice Theriot; and her brother Edward Theriot of St. Martinville.
Ms. Patsy is survived by two daughters, Leanne Raines and Lisa Coleman; and her son, Stephen Coleman of Pineville; and grandsons, Matthew Raines, Kevin Raines, Nathaniel Raines and Daniel Raines. She has three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Raines, Brendan Raines and Kinzey Raines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Theriot and Coleman families.
Ms. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, whose love was unconditional and unswerving. She was kind and generous to all, and would give anything she had with a smile. She loved camping with her family, cooking family meals, and supporting her grandsons in the Boy Scouts. Ms. Patsy sewed many patches and ironed many scout uniforms over the years and never missed their award ceremonies. Ms. Theriot was also very proud to call herself a Cajun.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, September 11, 2017 at St. Francis and Ann Catholic Church, Kolin, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Danny Theriot, Rene Theriot, Jacques Theriot, Matthew Raines, Kevin Raines and Chad Tillbury.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a 9 a.m. Rosary and Mass at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in St. Martinville.
