Norwood Joseph Blanchard

A Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Norwood Joseph Blanchard, 61, who passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, and continue on Saturday, at 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home – Carver Street Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Rev. Joseph Campion will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Pauline Lazard and Veronica Thibodeaux. Gift bearers will be Zakarriya Collins and Danaya Zeno.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
He is survived by mother, Joanella Blanchard; wife, Mary Gwendolyn Davis Blanchard; sons, Kendrick Blanchard and Dwainwood Blanchard; daughters, Autrea Collins and husband Joseph Jr., and Christy Pennier and husband Demoyne; brothers, Lawrence Blanchard and wife Shirleta, Wilson Zeno and wife Nina, Lonnie Zeno and wife Sarah, and Clarence Zeno Jr. and wife Earline; sisters, Emily Williams, Emma Charles and husband Norris, Ella Mae Thomas and husband Clarence, Justina Hadnot and husband Chris, Lorita Davis and husband Milton, Rebecca Arceneaux and husband Andrew, Betty John and husband Mike, and Willie Mae Wiltz and husband Nelson; his grandchildren, Rodney, Jordie, and DeMarco Roberts, Zakarriya, Zahiya, Zah Niya and Zavion Collins, Rush Cole Arvie, Taiylea Batiste, Danaya Sam and Jánaesheia Pennier. He is also survived by Selina Wiltz, who helped raise him and was there for him all his life.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Amanda and George Benjamin; brothers, Nolton Blanchard, Curtis Zenon, Lawrence Zeno, Joseph Zenon and George Benjamin; grandson, Bentley David Pennier; nephew, Daniel Zeno Sr.; step-father, Clarence Zeno; father-in-law, Joseph Davis; Evelina and Arthur John Louis Jr.; sister-in-law, Mercedes Sylvester; and brother-in-law, Gaston Williams.
