Mary Joyce Knott Babineaux

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Mary Joyce Knott Babineaux, 69, who passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 1026 Mona Lane.
Visiting hours were observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. David Broussard officiated at the Funeral Service. Scriptures were read by Tabitha and Alexis Babineaux. Gift Bearers were Connor and Breanna Guidry.
Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, listening to Alan Jackson, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing cards. She had a big heart and never turned anyone in need away. Mary opened up her heart and home to many friends who were in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Babineaux Jr.; her sons, Michael Babineaux and wife Sherry, Willie Babineaux III and wife Katie, and Aaron Babineaux and wife Lori; her daughter, Danielle Babineaux Guidry and husband Shannon; her brother, Jessie “Lou” Knott; and 15 grandchildren, Michael Babineaux Jr., Damion Babineaux, Tabitha Babineaux, Alexis Babineaux, Emily Babineaux, Julia Babineaux, Bailey Babineaux, Ashton Babineaux, Braxton Babineaux, Christian Babineaux, Rayann Nickens, L.J. Nickens, Kaitlyn Nickens, Connor Guidry and Breanna Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Marie Louise Mouton Knott; and four infant siblings.
Pallbearers were Michael Babineaux, Willie Babineaux III, Aaron Babineaux, Danielle Babineaux Guidry, Damion Babineaux and Bailey Babineaux. Honorary pallbearer were Willie Babineaux and her grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to FMC Dialysis in Breaux Bridge, AMG staff, especially her loving nurse, Alysia, and St. Joseph Hospice for taking great care of her and her family.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
