Mae ‘Mit’ LeBlanc
Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mae “Mit” LeBlanc, 98, who passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, in Breaux Bridge.
Visiting hours were observed at Pellerin Funeral Home, 211 Berard St., from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continued Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary wase prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Rev. Garrett Mcintyre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Entombment followws at St. Bernard Mausoleum #2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mrs. Mae was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where she attended Mass weekly and was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She had a gentle spirit with a kind smile of appreciation for everyone. She was known for her famous sugar and gateau sec cookies that everyone loved.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond LeBlanc and wife Patsy, and Jessie LeBlanc and wife Sally, all of Breaux Bridge; grandchildren, Coby LeBlanc, Chad LeBlanc, Gail Poirier, Pamela Harden; great-grandchildren, Scottie Poirier, Cody Harden, Tanner Rae Harden, Hali Harden, Noah LeBlanc, Jordan LeBlanc, Mindy LeBlanc, Haley LeBlanc and Andrew LeBlanc; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elviv Guidry Huval; her husband, Dieu Donne “DD” LeBlanc; brothers, George Huval, Claby Huval, Henry Huval, Alley and Abbey Huval; half-brothers, Adelma and Abel Comb; and a great- grandchild, Tyler LeBlanc.
Pallbearers were Coby LeBlanc, Noah LeBlanc, Jordan LeBlanc, Dana Patin, Larry Poirier and Scottie Poirier.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
