Madeline Champagne Blanchet

Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Madeline Champagne Blanchet, 75, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Evangeline Funeral Home with Andrew Champagne officiating.
Interment followed at St. Michael’s Mausoleum.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday until service time.
A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. Blanchet passed away at 12:17 a.m. on, Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at her residence.
She is survived by her children, Buck Wiltz and wife Nicole of St. Martinville, Wayne Wiltz of Cecilia and Alan Wiltz of Rayne, Annette Gautreaux and fiancé Carl “Macho” Morvant of St. Martinville, Merina Soileau and Gwen Harrington and husband Brandon, all of Henderson; one sister, Shirley Wright and husband Roy of St. Martinville; five brothers, Wilfred Champagne of New Iberia, Andrew Champagne, Joseph Champagne and Larry Champagne all of St. Martinville and Johnny Champagne of Breaux Bridge; 15 grandchildren, Matthew Wiltz, John Ross Wiltz, Maranda Davis, Jacob Wiltz, Alana Wiltz, Jackie Gautreaux Jr., Derrick Gautreaux, Kirk Soileau, Paige Bulliard, Brooke Wiltz, Brittney Wiltz, Hunter Wiltz, Crystal Theriot, Amber Theriot and Stormi Champagne; 18 great-grandchildren; her companion, Junius Romero of New Iberia; and her step sons, Glen Wayne Blanchet of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael Paul Blanchet and Randy Lewis Blanchet, both of Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Champagne Sr. and Madeline Douet Champagne; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Wiltz; husband, Odo H. Blanchet; one granddaughter, Nellie Faye Gautreaux; one sister, Mary Lou Hargruder; and three brothers, Henry Champagne, Frank Champagne Jr. and Anthony Champagne.
Pallbearers were Jackie Gautreaux Jr., Derrick Gautreaux, Jacob Wiltz, Hunter Wiltz, Kirk Soileau, Matthew Wiltz, Larry Champgne and Brandon Harrington.
John Ross Wiltz, Alan Wiltz, Carl “Macho” Morvant, Buck Wiltz and Wayne Wiltz served as honorary pallbearers.
