Maddox Duplechien

A Mass of Christian burial wase celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Maddox Duplechien, 7 weeks old, who passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Rev. David Broussard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Maddox loved his “noonie” and sleeping on his mommy’s chest, but he did not like taking a bath. He enjoyed being held and eating. Maddox will always be remembered as being a happy baby.
Maddox was an organ donor and will live on through others.
He is survived by his father, Orry Charles Duplechien of Cecilia; his mother, Janci Nicole Viator of Parks; his brother, Jace Viator; two sisters, Ambré Viator and Emeri Allemand; paternal grandparents, Ann Margaret H. and Tony Barron of Cecilia; maternal grandfather, Wilfred “Pap” J. Viator of Parks; his uncles and aunts, Codi Viator and wife Lauren, Logan Duplechien and wife Michelle, and Cabe Duplechien; and his cousins, Devin, Koren and Camilla Viator and Jaxson Duplechien.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Murphy J. Duplechien Jr.; and maternal grandmother, Pandora “Dora” Viator.
Pallbearers were Codi Viator, Cabe Duplechien and Logan Duplechien.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
