Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Lennis Joseph Allemand, 86, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017.
Visiting hours will be observed from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Lanerie Allemand; his son, Bryan Allemande; his daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Elizabeth) Angelle, Yvonne Matte, Mrs. Dean (Sharline) Sonnier, and Susan Huval; his brother, Edwin Allemand; his sister, Odette Babineaux; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Horace Allemand; and his sister, Laura LeBlanc.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
